You'll love how easy the Magicard Pronto single-sided printer is to set up and operate. The Magicard Pronto ID card printer features a 3-color LED display for easy-to-understand printer status and prompts. Its UltraDriver printer driver is available in several languages and supports Microsoft Windows. Plus, the Magicard Pronto ID card printer driver allows you to fine-tune controls, such as image sharpening and coloring, to get the best results. - Small and portable
The compact, lightweight design of the Pronto single-sided printer is suited for any desktop and travels nicely. - Card security made easy and inexpensive
Magicard's exclusive HoloKote feature allows you to print a watermark with the Pronto single-sided printer without any added costs. The watermark is printed during the normal card printing cycle using the O panel of a standard color ribbon - there is no need to purchase expensive holographic lamination. The HoloKote watermark becomes visible when the card is viewed at an angle and can be easily enabled or disabled in your printer driver.
HoloKote for the Magicard Pronto 3649-0001 is available in four patterns: globes, keys, interlocking squares, or waves. When using the HoloKote option, the pattern of your choice is printed repeatedly across your card.When HoloKote is used along with Magicard HoloPatch cards, one area of the watermark becomes a high-visibility security seal with an appearance similar to a holographic patch, at a fraction of the cost. - Optional magnetic stripe encoding
The Magicard Pronto printer can be ordered with magnetic stripe encoding capabilities so that you can write data to your cards at the same time as printing, as be able to your cards for more than just photo IDs. (Add this feature to your printer within the Options tab.) - Optional extended warranty and printer loaner plans

Intermittent user of the product, about 25 cards a month on average.
Like the footprint of the unit; compact and relatively easy to use and set up. Does the job well for our needs.
However, take extremely good care of the print head and clean it continuously. Make sure your cards are also extremely clean before printing on them.
The owner's manual does not make reference to how delicate these print heads are; a simple dust particle can take it out and you have to replace the print head, and it is NOT covered under warranty. For those of you who do not know, a print head costs about half the price of this printer.
This company needs to be more specific about print head care in their owners manual and warn users of the possibilities, as well as detailing it in their warranty.
Very disappointed in the warranty and service received because of an issue we had with the print head... less than one year old and had to replace it because of a mark on the print head that only showed up in a microscope!!! Yet, we still have to pay for a new print head on ours because of it.

My last product was also a magicard printer which I got over 5 years of use with and was doing some very heavy printing with it at that time I bought it. So of course I wanted to buy another of the same brand and this one is also fantastic and I hope to get the same 5+ years out of this one as well.
