The Fargo DTC550 is one ID card printer that IT and security professionals can agree on.

As a security professional, an enterprise network is probably the last place you would want to install an ID card printer. As an IT administrator, an ID card printer could be a security-sensitive target that you probably would not want on your network. The Fargo DTC550 printer provides greater flexibility when you are planning widespread or high-volume card issuance for applications such as employee access cards, government and student IDs, customer loyalty and membership cards.

The Fargo DTC550 printer comes in many configurations to meet your current and future needs: Single Sided, Duplex (dual sided capable), Single Sided w/ Lamination or Duplex w/ Lamination. The Fargo DTC550 can even be field upgraded to support lamination - an industry first!

The Fargo DTC550 printer features many encoding options: Dual Coercivity Magnetic Encoding, E-Card Docking Station, MIFARE, HID iClass, etc.

Optional Ethernet (and USB)
The Fargo DTC550 printer supports secure ID card issuance at multiple locations throughout the enterprise.

Fargo DTC550 Printer Network Capability via Optional Ethernet

With an Ethernet port and internal print server, your IT staff can install a DTC550 printer anywhere on a LAN. The Fargo DTC550 also features an optional Print Security software which gives your security team tight control over ID card printer access.

User-Friendly Printer Driver Utility
The Fargo Workbench printer utility is a user-friendly printer security, diagnostics and firmware upgrades tool included in your driver. Through the Fargo Workbench, you can add password-controlled access to your printer, use a library of Fargo card samples, gain access to key printer and ribbon information (e.g., printer serial number, listing of installed options, ribbon type and ribbon amount used, etc.), run various troubleshooting and diagnostics tools, and more!
