We used the product to produce ID cards. One of the last ribbons purchased was defective and ruined 75+ cards. I was asked by the vendor to submit it and a good ribbon, both used, to their tech support for inspection. I was informed that because the defective ribbon had no remaining ribbon to use that it could not be evaluated. As it was obvious from using two new ribbons AFTER the defective one that the printer was not at fault (because all remaining cards printed perfectly), the ribbon was without question defective, I've been informed that it will not be replaced. And I got a chuckle when I was asked if I wanted them to return these two used ribbons! I am both disappointed and dismayed that the company will not stand behind their product. Other vendors I've spoken with subsequently have told me they will instantly replace a defective ribbon.
