Evolis Quantum 2 ID Card Printer Reforms High Volume Card Printing
The next generation of the high-volume Evolis Quantum 2 duplex ID printer (QTM206GRH-BS) is now available for purchase. The Evolis Quantum 2 is ideal for medium to large sized ID card programs that need to print large batches of ID cards in a short period of time. The Quantum card printer can issue up to 1,000 personalized ID cards in monochrome or over 150 full color ID cards per hour. The Evolis Quantum’s card feeders can accept 0.50mm to 1mm card thickness. An adjustable thickness gauge is located at the base of the detachable feeders to calibrate the thickness of the cards you’ll be printing. The dual Quantum 2 feeders can hold 500 cards with a 0.76 mm (standard) thickness.
Quantum 2 owners can integrate magnetic, smart contact and contactless encoding options. With this reversible encoding module, you don’t have to print a card then flip it over to encode it for access control or information storage. You can customize the Quantum reversible encoding unit on-site to accommodate for your evolving card personalization needs. As you can see below, the Quantum 2 encoding kits can be easily detached from the printer, flipped 180° to select the encoding unit you want to encode your ID cards with, and then reattached. You can now simultaneously print and add multiple encoding options to a high volume of photo ID cards in a single pass.
