The EDIsecureXID 590ie is a reverse transfer printer that is ideal for any application requiring reliable mass production of secure and durable duplex (two-sided) cards. The EDIsecure XID 590i retransfer printer boasts high performance printing and encoding with its ability to connect up to 7 printers on a single server—allowing you to print up to 840 cards per hour!
Ease-of-use. Despite its high performance, the EDIsecureXID 590ie high performance retransfer printer is absolutely easy to operate. It features a smart LCD display that provides printer status information via text messages, and traffic light-type changes in the color of the LCD display (e.g., green = go/OK, yellow = warning, red = problem/stop).
Blank card stock is loaded into a pull-out drawer that can accommodate 300 standard 30 mil CR80 cards. Plus, cards can be added to the drawer while printing to provide an interruption-free workflow. Different card types and thicknesses can be accommodated with a quick change using the thickness selector built into the drawer. Additional card drawers are available for customers that frequently alternate between card types.
Spools of the standard color ribbon (YMCK) and re-transfer film can print up to 1,000 single-sided cards before requiring replacement, and replacement is simplified by the use of color-coded cartridges. An array of laminate materials is available to you, based on your needs. Digital ID provides overlaminates in varying thicknesses, in clear or holographics, plus overlaminates can be customized with the details that you require. The EDIsecure Inline Lamination Unit can also be purchased with the optional EDIsecure ILU Turnover Unit to perform duplex lamination.

Cards with faulty electronics are simply ejected out the right side of the printer, the next card is pulled in to receive the encoding data, and if successful, sent on to be printed.
