CR8030 bioPVC cards are made with 99% PVC that fully biodegrades within nine months to five years of continual exposure to microorganisms. Biodegradable lo-co mag stripe PVC cards perform just like standard 100% PVC mag stripe cards. They maintain their integrity under normal, everyday use: they can get wet, be stored on a shelf or in a wallet, be printed on or UV-treated. Biodegradation takes place only when the cards are in a fertile environment in which microorganisms are present (e.g., soil, compost, trash dump, water, etc.). Biodegradable PVC cards also leave no ecologically-damaging toxins once degraded.
Earth-friendly CR8030 lo coercivity mag stripe cards are ideal for applications where the card is used for a short time period, such as hotel room keys. Low coercivity stripes can be erased after a brief contact with a magnetic field. Bio LoCo mag stripe cards are designed for use in card printers with magnetic stripe encoding capabilities.
Earth-friendly low coercivity cards can generally be identified by a brown magnetic stripe; whereas the mag stripe on high coercivity cards is generally black.
Bio CR8030 low coercivity PVC cards are graphic quality and are the standard, most commonly used plastic card size, measuring 3.375'' x 2.125'' (the size of a credit card) and 30 mil thick. CR80 30 bio cards are also known as CR8030 or CR80.030 bio cards.
