Safety
Our high-quality lanyards are available in either breakaway or non-breakaway styles. Breakaway lanyards are safer to wear than their non-breakaway counterparts, because if the lanyard is grabbed, pulled, or gets caught on something, the breakaway portion disconnects itself. This protects the person wearing the lanyard so they aren't injured. K-12 schools, medical facilities, and industrial factories most often choose breakaway lanyards.
Convenience
If your organization is using access cards, an ID badge reel for your card attachment is a great (and affordable!) choice. Badge reels allow you to easily extend your ID card towards the RFID card reader without taking the lanyard and card off your neck.
Style
Lanyards are available in many different styles. Round braid and flat braid lanyards are available in either bamboo or recycled plastic. OptiBraid and OptiWeave lanyards give you the ability to detach your ID badge from your lanyard while you're still wearing it. The standard length of a lanyard is 36 inches, and they come in widths from 3/8" to 1".

Make sure that if you’re going the custom lanyard route that you “build” extra time into the mix. This is because custom lanyards take a few weeks to create. Once you provide us with your custom artwork, it can take about 2 to 4 weeks after you approve the final proof to get your custom lanyards.
