6 Tips for Ordering Proximity Cards

How to Order Proximity Cards

You may have seen our incredibly low prices on HID proximity cards and want to purchase a batch from your trustedHow to Order Proximity Cards Account Manager here at ID Wholesaler. Proximity cards are a custom programmed item and non-refundable if the programming is done incorrectly. It's very important that we get it right the first time. Help us help you... ID Wholesaler will need the following tidbits of information in order to process your order efficiently and correctly:
  1. The HID part number: Example part numbers include 1326, 1346, 1356, 1386, 1586
  2. The last HID sales order/job number: This is especially important for an HID card reorder when ordering for the first time through ID Wholesaler. HID keeps an accurate record of all cards programmed.
  3. Format: This is a letter followed by a 5-digit string, such as "H10301."
  4. Configuration: This is a 5-letter code, like "LGGMN."
  5. The facility code: a data set used in proximity cards to increase security that helps distinguish your site from other sites.
  6. The start number: a unique card identification number which cannot be duplicated. A combination of the facility code and start number allow a card reader to determine whether or not a user has the necessary rights to access a building.
Now, you may be asking where you can find all of this good information. Usually, the bulk of this data can be found as a label or sticker on the last box-top or bag of cards that you purchased.
