Fargo recently launched a new player in high-definition printing: High Durable
HDP Retransfer Film. If your organization uses a Fargo
HDP5000 card printer, you know that these machines offer superior printing performance with added card durability, producing rich and vibrant credentials.
The new high-durable retransfer film provides a number of valuable benefits for owners of Fargo Retransfer Printers, including:
- More durable ID cards – Designed and developed with advanced new materials, edge-to-edge HDP film is three times more abrasion-resistant than standard retransfer films.
- Enhanced card security – Because the high durable film is fused directly onto the card's surface, it's significantly more tamper-resistant
- Increased card longevity – Using high durable film can extend card life by two to four years over standard retransfer film
In order to begin using high-durable film, an update to your printer's firmware and printer driver is required. You can this information in the "Support & Downloads" tab on each printer product detail page. High-durable film is clear film and is not available with a standard or custom hologram. It is not for use with laminating printers.
