ID Holders for Smart Cards
Many of our customers use smart cards within their organization, whether it be for door entry or building access, biometric data, or any other form of identification or authentication. Coupled with the ever-increasing need for security, these companies are printing photo IDs on cards which are also required by their employees to be clearly displayed at all times.
The tricky thing with the average smart card is that they have an intricate antenna built inside of them. If smart cards are slot punched in the wrong place (which is very easy to do!), you could potentially damage (or destroy) that antenna which will render the card unusable.
Now you may be thinking to yourself, “How can I prevent this?” While these types of technology cards do have guides on the card’s surface to indicate where to punch the card, we have many solutions that don’t even require the use of a slot punch.
Not only will this potentially save you money by preventing damage to the expensive internal components of a smart card; it will also save you time by not having to punch them.

If a badge holder doesn’t sound like the right solution for you, you’ll have to check out our ID card grippers. Card grippers are a great option to keep your credentials safe, secure, and visible. Although they’re small, they are pretty mighty (and reliable!) when it comes to holding cards.
The silicon core within the badge grippers can securely hold up to five pounds of vertical force and even more than five pounds of horizontal force. They also help prevent damage to smart cards, prox cards, and other technology cards with internal RFID components.
