Plexiglass Shield Countertop Barrier - DISCONTINUED

A protective countertop shield, also commonly referred to as a sneeze guard, is used in the workplace to help protect staff and visitors by reducing the spread of germs. Desktop barriers help block respiratory droplets that may carry contagious diseases such as coronavirus or other air-born illnesses.

Social distancing guidelines recommend maintaining 6 feet of distance between individuals to reduce transmission of COVID-19. However, in some workplace settings, this isn't feasible. Agencies such as the CDC and World Health Organization suggest creating a transparent physical barrier with the use of a plastic shield as an effective alternative that will still protect employees and visitors during interactions.

Our desktop barriers are constructed of sturdy but light-weight polycarbonate, an extremely durable material that is strong and shatterproof, making it an ideal alternative to glass. A smooth surface is easy to clean and won't easily break down with the use of chemical disinfectant cleaners.

Our counter shield barriers are 29.5'' w x 35.625'' h. A base support on each side of the plexiglass shield keeps the partition stable so it won't topple over, even when bumped. A cut-out hole at the center bottom of the shield allows for items to be passed through the partition, but it also allows sound to travel more clearly though the shield. This countertop barrier is easy to assemble and does not require being attached to the desk - simply pick up and move the shield wherever you need it.

Desktop shields provide protection in multiple environments, but they are most often used in the workplace, customer service stations in banks, retail stores, local government offices, or in schools.
