The 84051 printer ribbon bundle includes all of the consumables you need to continue printing on your HDP5000 printer. The bundle comes with both a Fargo 84051 ribbon as well as 500 CR8030 cards. The Fargo 84051 YMCK Ribbon is the most popular ribbon for the HDP5000 printers. Fargo 84051 ribbons are used for printing a combination of full-color images and one-color text or barcodes.

Fargo 84051 YMCK ribbons consist of yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C) panels for printing a full spectrum of colors by combining the colors using varying degrees of heat. The K panel is a black resin panel, typically used for printing text and barcodes. Fargo 84051 ribbons are specially back-coated to extend printhead life. The Fargo 84051 ribbon is for use with the HDP5000 series of card printers, and must be used in conjunction with HDP film for HDP5000 printers.

Made of 60% PVC and 40% PET, composite PVC PET cards are more durable than standard PVC cards, making them ideal for use when cards will be frequently handled or used in harsh environments. Composite cards are also recommended for use in laminating and retransfer printers like the HDP5000 because they are more resistant to heat than standard PVC cards. Standard PVC cards may warp from the intense heat used in both of these processes. Composite PVC-PET cards are ideal for use in both direct-to-card and retransfer printers. They are the most commonly used cards in HDP5000 printers.

Bundle Options:

• Upgrade Magnetic Stripe Cards:
  The Fargo 84051 YMCK Ribbon Bundle includes 500 blank composite CR8030 PVC cards. Additionally, you can choose to upgrade cards to HiCo magnetic stripe cards. Magnetic stripe cards are the same dimensions as regular CR8030 cards, at 3.375'' x 2.125'' (size of a credit card) and 30mil thick but include either a HiCo or LoCo magnetic strip on the back.


• Add Fargo 84053 Retransfer Film:
  Fargo HDP Film is required for printing cards with Fargo HDP printers. Fargo HDP printers print your card image to underside of 84053 HDP film. The film is then applied to the surface of the card, "sandwiching" the image between the film and the card. Fargo card printers require specialized Fargo HDP film to function properly. To maximize printed card quality and printer durability, use only genuine Fargo HDP film.


• Add Fargo 89200 Complete Printer Cleaning Kit - Cleaning Cards & Swabs:
  Add the Fargo 89200 Cleaning kit to get everything that you need to keep your HDP5000 printer up and running in optimal condition. Small bits of debris and dust can get into your printer and will degrade the quality of your images over time. If left unattended, they can even cause damage to the sensitive (and expensive) printhead. If you add the Fargo 89200 cleaning kit to your bundle you will receive 4 cleaning swabs, 10 cleaning pads, and 10 cleaning cards.
