HID OMNIKEY 5422 Contact & Contactless Smart Card Reader

The OMNIKEY® 5422 by HID is a dual-interface card reader that reads/writes both contact and contactless smart cards. The embedded chip in a smart card operates as a microprocessor for storing and accessing secure credential information. When combined with the PC-linked OMNIKEY R54220301 card reader, smart cards effectively authenticate user access to PCs, software, and cloud-based networks and websites.

Processing speed and ease-of-use are hallmarks of the OK5422 - read/write to a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card, or virtually any contact smart card. Use this device with the very best high-frequency card technologies including iCLASS, MIFARE and MIFARE DESFire. This data reader can even access information from Seos® OTP (One-Time-Password) cards. OTP cards offer the highest security potential because of their ability to minimize password access to a single instance.

Meeting smart card ISO standards 14443 A/B and ISO 7816, the OMNIKEY 5422 card reader supports a wide range of operating systems. In addition, you're freed from tedious driver installations - this dual-interface card reader is compatible with most standard PCs and workstations.
