Have Questions about Fargo DTC1250e ID Systems? We Have Answers!

Why Choose an HID Fargo DTC1250e System?

When purchased as a standalone piece of equipment, an ID card printer does not come with all of the supplies needed to begin making cards. To simplify your purchase and to save you money, we sell complete Fargo DTC1250e ID systems that have been bundled in-house by our ID Professionals.

Each Fargo DTC1250e ID card system provides everything you need to get your card printing program up and running: a printer, ID card software for designing and managing credentials, a printer ribbon, a photo ID camera, and PVC cards.

Plus, you can customize your system to meet the needs of your printing program by swapping the type of card stock included, adding features to your printer, opting for a more advanced camera or capable software, and/or add extended warranty and/or loaner coverage before checkout.

Should I Choose the Single-Sided or the Dual-Sided DTC1250e ID system?

Consider the amount of information you need your cards to display. If you only want to feature a cardholder's name and photo, for example, a single-sided system will do the job. But, if you need to print cardholder information to both sides of your cards, a dual-sided system will save you time by enabling you to print to both sides of the card in a single pass.

While it is technically possible to print on both sides with a single-sided system by manually flipping the cards and sending them back through the printer, we do not recommend it. Doing so exposes the printhead to dust, debris, and oil from your fingertips, which can cause expensive printhead damage. Printhead damage caused by non-standard use such as this voids manufacturer warranty coverage, costing you more in the long run.
