What is an Indala Card?
HID Indala proximity cards are similar to HID proximity cards in that they are low frequency 125 kHz credentials that feature an embedded metallic antenna coil that stores cardholder data. The primary differences are in the card durability and security.
Indala cards are designed for rugged, high-usage, and/or outdoor use. They are constructed with materials built to withstand harsh operating environments. They are also ideal for applications that require frequent swiping through a magnetic stripe or barcode reader.
All Indala proximity credentials feature FlexSecur technology that provides an added level of security through a verification process at the reader. This verification process enhances the security through data encryption and site-specific programming to prevent unauthorized use.
How Do I Know that My Cards will be Compatible with My Reader?
There are three primary factors that affect compatibility between HID Indala cards and HID proximity card readers.
The reader must be capable of reading the card frequency. For example, the pcProx Plus Enroll Prox Card Reader can read 125 kHz prox cards and 13.56 MHz contactless cards.
Some readers are programmed to only read 26 bit, 37 bit, or 35 bit Corporate 1000 cards.
Some readers are programmed to only read a proprietary card that must be reordered from the original proximity program provider.
While you can look at your card reader's specifications, the best way to ensure compatibility is to reorder the same HID Indala cards with the same configurations.
