Did you know that every customer who purchases a printer (or system) automatically receives 3 email messages from marketing? Here is what you need to know:

All printer purchasers receive a series of 3 emails, sent out over a period of about 3 months.
IDW customers recieve emails on their specific printer model
IDZ customers receive emails on their printer brand
Email 1 Main Messages: “Welcome to the Club!”, training, how to find supplies, pertinent blog articles, your contact info
Email 2 Main Messages: “We’re Here for the “What If’s””, extended warranty plans, importance of printer cleaning “Quick Tip”, supplies selector, your contact info
Email 3 Main Messages: “Stock Up On Printer Supplies & Save!”, $10 coupon, links to supplies categories, protect your printer “Quick Tip”

Free Custom HoloKote Promotion

Now thru the end of May, customers purchasing a Magicard Rio Pro or Rio Pro Xtended printer or system will receive FREE Custom HoloKote w/ their new printer.

No coupon is required — select free HoloKote or free HoloKote FLEX in the Options tab of Rio Pro printer and system pages.

FREE Setup on Custom Reels & Lanyards Promotion

It’s back! We are, once again, offering FREE set-up on all custom reels and lanyards. No coupon is needed, the Free set-up is marked as “FREE” when selecting options.

Talking to your “standard” reel and lanyard customers about the promotion and the savings they’ll get is a good lead-in to get them into custom products! Once they order custom from you, they’ll be back to reorder from you. 🙂

The promotion runs thru the end of August (8/31/13). Please see the promotion pages on IDW and IDZ for additional details.

JAM / Brady Products

When there is an identical JAM product for a Brady product that we have on the sites, the JAM part number is now listed in the Specs tab of that Brady product. See the Specs tab of the following part numbers (on either site) for examples:

2120-30XX Badge Reels
2105-200X Badge Clips
1840-5057 Badge Holders

You’ll be able to find any JAM part number that is currently listed on the sites by using the Search box.

Datacard SD360 Part Number Change

The part numbers for the Datacard SD360 have changed based on a new board being used in them. The new PNs have been added to both sites and the old PNs have been moved to the Datacard Discontinued Printers category, with links to the new PNs. There is no change in the printers, other than the board, and no change in MSRP or our selling price.

Current Trade-In Promotions

Several of our printer manufacturers are currently offering Trade-In Promotions:

Magicard – Get 2 free ribbons w/ trade-in (no expiration date)
Zebra – save up to $500 w/ trade-in (runs thru Dec 31, 2013)
Evolis – save up to $400 w/ trade-in (Ends June 30, 2013)
Nisca – save up to $600 w/ trade-in (no expiration date)
Datacard – save up to $1000 w/ trade-in (supposed to end Friday, March 15 — waiting for confirmation of expiration or extension)

Important Zebra P100 Series Ribbon Update!

Zebra has released new ribbons for the P100 series printers. The new ribbons feature a new design that makes them easier to install and remove, and the new Earth-friendly cores are made from less plastic and are recyclable.

During the transition to the new part numbers, both the old and new ribbons are available, with the old PNs being removed from the sites when we are no longer able to source them.

“Freeware” and Free Trial Software with Printers

Reminder: Some printer brands include very basic photo ID software or trial software along with printers.

Datacard – ID Works Intro software
Evolis – eMedia software
- Tattoo RW – eMedia 6.0 Standard – 30 day trial
- Pebble – eMedia 6.0 Standard
- Dualys – eMedia 6.0 Standard
- Zenius – eMedia CS Standard – 30 day trial
- Primacy – eMedia CS Standard
- Securion – eMedia 6.0 Standard – 30 day trial
- Quantum – eMedia 6.0 Standard – 30 day trial

These softwares offer very limited capabilities that aren’t great long-term solutions for customers–and note that Evolis includes only a 30-day trial! Sales conversations with customers should be something like “Some printer models come with trial versions of software, but for your needs, I recommend…”
