An Evolis Primacy ID card system comes with all the essential components to launch your card printing program. If you purchase a Primacy ID card printer (or any card printer) as an individual order, it will not come with the supplies necessary to design and print your ID cards.
Our systems contain authentic supplies designed specially to work with your Primacy card printer. Each of our Evolis Primacy ID Card Systems include the printer, ID card management software, a color ribbon, photo ID camera, and blank cards. Customize your printer system further by selecting additional choices for card type, printer features, data encoding, and extended warranty plans.
Not only can a system make your purchase decision easier, it is also easy on the pocketbook. Buying a bundled Primacy ID system costs less than if the items were purchased individually! ID systems are a convenient and economical way to introduce a card printing program into your organization.
It depends on how much information you need to put on your cards. For example, if you will only be placing the cardholder's photo and name on your cards, the single-sided Primacy system may be ideal for you. However, if you need to place more information on your cards, we recommend the dual-sided Primacy system so that you can print to both sides of the card in one, simple process.
Many customers ask if it is possible to print on both sides of the card with a single-sided system by manually flipping the cards and sending them back through the printer. While technically it is possible, it's not recommended. Printing on both sides of the card with a single-sided Primacy system will expose the printhead to dust, debris, and oil from your fingertips, which can cause expensive printhead damage. Plus, damage to a printhead from non-standard use will void warranty coverage, costing you more in the long run.
