What are Holographic Cards?
Holographic cards feature a hologram embedded within the entire card, or a portion of the card surface. Holographic cards increase card security and make it more difficult to fraudulently duplicate cards. If your printer isn't capable of applying a holographic laminate, cards are an easy, cost-effective way to incorporate holograms into your card design.
Holographic cards are compatible with any brand of printer. If you'll be laminating your holographic cards or are using a reverse transfer printer, you will need to look for composite PET cards.
What Types of Holographic Cards are Available?
Fargo HoloMark cards feature a 3-dimensional hologram that changes color and appearance when viewed at an angle. The hologram can either be hand-applied after printing (less secure) or stamped on the surface of the blank cards (more secure) in your choice of one of four corners. Choose a standard HoloMark design, or if you're looking for a higher level of security, you may customize your own hologram with Custom HoloMark Cards. HoloMark cards are available in 100% PVC for use in direct-to-card printers or PET for use in laminating, reverse transfer, or direct-to-card printers.
Magicard HoloPatch cards are designed for use in Magicard printers in conjunction with the HoloKote anti-counterfeiting system. The white cards feature a highly reflective gold 'super-diffuser' patch which makes one of your HoloKote security images clearly visible under all lighting conditions. When HoloPatch cards are used along with the HoloKote feature of Magicard printers, cards have an appearance similar to holographic patches, but at a fraction of the cost. The cards can be ordered with or without a magnetic stripe.
Fargo Custom Metallized Holographic Foil cards feature a custom embedded metallic design within the card. They are instantly verifiable and virtually impossible to duplicate. A number of card security options are available, including pre-printing, microtext, UV ink, and more. Metallized holographic cards are available in 100% PVC for use in direct-to-card printers or PET for use in laminating, reverse transfer, or direct-to-card printers.
Fargo Custom Translucent Holographic Foil cards feature a custom translucent design embedded within the card. They are instantly verifiable and virtually impossible to duplicate. A number of additional security options are available, including pre-printing, microtext, UV ink, and more. A 1,000-card minimum order is required. Translucent holographic cards are available in 100% PVC for use in direct-to-card printers or PET for use in laminating, reverse transfer, or direct-to-card printers.
Zebra Premier Plus Hologram Cards feature an embedded standard design that extends across the entire card surface. Choose a standard holographic design of gloves, diamonds, eagles, or keys. Since Zebra hologram cards are composite PVC-PET, they may be used in laminating printers, retransfer printers and most direct-to-card ID card printers.
