You wouldn't believe how often this happens: a card printer customer misplaces their photo ID card printer power supply cord. It's actually one of the number one replacement or "missing" parts that we sell here at ID Wholesaler. Maybe I'm just obsessive about things like this, but I cannot fathom how it happens. I personally think that the gnomes that steal my socks are the same ones that will steal a printer power supply. After all, power cords don’t just walk away! In case you're wondering: the power supply is that little box that acts as the connecting bridge between the wall socket and the ID card printer, similar to the image at the right.
We strongly recommend purchasing the brand name power supply to fit the printer that you're using for your ID card issuance program (e.g., purchase an Evolis power supply for an Evolis Printer, a Fargo power supply for a Fargo printer, etc.). To find the power supply for your printer, simply navigate to the printer brand and then printer model.
If you've lost your power supply, chances are good that you've probably also lost your power cord. The two items need to be purchased together, and you can select your power cord type within the "Options" tab of each printer description page. Fortunately, we do carry a 110v power cable that is a universal cable for most printers (except the Magicard brand of ID card printers). If you have any questions, you can rely on the expertise of our ID Professionals. Call today at (800) 321-4405; we're always happy to help!
