- Although Magicard’s HoloKote feature is not a true hologram, it does offer visual security in the form of a watermark. The HoloKote watermark becomes visible when the card is viewed at an angle. Magicard offers the option of four standard HoloMark designs that can be added to your cards by using any direct-to-card Magicard printer. As long as you have a ribbon and enable the feature in your printer’s driver, you are set without any extra costs. If you’d like to have the watermark image be your company logo, customizing this feature may be an option for you!
- If you’d like a true hologram but don’t have the option of custom lamination, consider customizing your card with an embedded hologram in the form of a 2D or 3D foil stamp. Pricing varies depending on how detailed you go with your design. No special equipment is needed to personalize cards with an embedded hologram; any of the card printers ID Wholesaler carries will work.
- If you already laminate your cards and you’d like to customize a holographic image for the highest visual security, a custom laminates may be something to consider. As with holographic cards, pricing varies depending on the level of detail, as well as the additional security features you would like.
