Question for you: how much do you charge your students, staff, and faculty for a replacement ID card? In our experience, we’ve seen administrations charge between $5 to $20 for a replacement ID card.
Students, by virtue of their tremendous academic workflow, tend to be forgetful and "lose” things. Students also tend to "find” things and be more conscious of keeping track of their belongings when there is a disciplinary or financial consequence to their behavior.
