The EDIsecure XID 590ie is a reverse transfer printer that is ideal for any application requiring reliable mass production of secure and durable duplex (two-sided) cards. The EDIsecure XID 590i retransfer printer boasts high performance printing and encoding with its ability to connect up to 7 printers on a single server—allowing you to print up to 840 cards per hour!

Ease-of-use. Despite its high performance, the EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance retransfer printer is absolutely easy to operate. It features a smart LCD display that provides printer status information via text messages, and traffic light-type changes in the color of the LCD display (e.g., green = go/OK, yellow = warning, red = problem/stop).

Blank card stock is loaded into a pull-out drawer that can accommodate 300 standard 30 mil CR80 cards. Plus, cards can be added to the drawer while printing to provide an interruption-free workflow. Different card types and thicknesses can be accommodated with a quick change using the thickness selector built into the drawer. Additional card drawers are available for customers that frequently alternate between card types.

Spools of the standard color ribbon (YMCK) and re-transfer film can print up to 1,000 single-sided cards before requiring replacement, and replacement is simplified by the use of color-coded cartridges. Plus, the EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance retransfer printer offers convenient front access for ribbon and card supplies loading.

The powerfully-developed printer driver of the EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance duplex printer comes with a user-friendly graphical user interface, providing alerts when errors occur, and ribbon and card level monitoring via the Media Status Monitor. Plus, its Admin Center software allows for convenient handling of printer settings for every card type.

High quality results on a variety of card materials. The EDIsecure XID 580i high performance retransfer printer features Enhanced Image Processing (EIP), providing true over-the-edge printing with crisp, clear colors and flawless continuous tones on any card material (e.g., PVC, ABS, PET, Polycarbonate, etc.)—including technology cards with embedded electronics that usually exhibit uneven or bumpy surfaces.

A range of security features. Protect your printing application and cards from counterfeiting and misuse of data with the EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance retransfer printer's security features. These state-of-the-art features include encrypted data transfers through your network with IPSEC security, Security Erase of black data on used supplies, UV ink ribbon to print invisible features on your cards, and printer password protection.

Encoding and lamination options. Access rights, time and attendance, debit transactions and countless other functions can all be combined on one card, using different technologies. Whatever the application—barcode printing, magnetic stripe and/or smart card encoding—the EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance duplex printer prints and encodes in a single step. Plus, chip encoding is now as easy as magnetic stripe encoding with Digital ID's Advanced Chip Encoding Framework (CEF). This toolkit provides integration of multiple encoding technologies through one easy-to-use plug-in.

In addition, the EDIsecure Inline Lamination Unit option will increase visual security and protect your cards from everyday use and exposure. An array of laminate materials is available to you, based on your needs. Digital ID provides overlaminates in varying thicknesses, in clear or holographics, plus overlaminates can be customized with the details that you require. The EDIsecure Inline Lamination Unit can also be purchased with the optional EDIsecure ILU Turnover Unit to perform duplex lamination.

High performance production with batch printing. The EDIsecure XID 590ie high performance duplex printer is the apex of a complete line of reverse transfer printers offered by Digital Identification Solutions. Featuring Advanced Intelligent Printer Management (IPM), the EDIsecure XID 590ie offers mass card production with its ability to be connected with 6 other printers that run on a single server. Print jobs and any accompanying encoding data are routed securely to the correct printer, even in a networked environment.

If one printer runs out of supplies, the next card in the queue moves to the next available printer, including its encoding information. Plus the EDIsecure XID 590ie printer encodes and verifies your cards before printing so that no cardholder will ever be issued a bad card. Cards with faulty electronics are simply ejected out the right side of the printer, the next card is pulled in to receive the encoding data, and if successful, sent on to be printed. The worry is taken out of your hands!
