It offers a user-friendly interface, two-sided card design and printing, and basic built-in database functionality with Microsoft Access. An intuitive, Microsoft Office-inspired interface
While Asure ID Solo 7 is powerful and feature-rich, it's also easy to use! The Microsoft Office-inspired interface shortens the learning curve and makes photo ID card design and data entry a snap! Frequently-used features are within easy reach on the Microsoft "ribbon"-inspired toolbar, while tabbed navigation allows you to easily switch between card design and data entry. Asure ID Solo 7 features simplified processes to make capturing and loading photos easy. You also have the flexibility to add features such as a 1-D barcode or magnetic stripe to store information specific to the cardholder.User-friendly design tools
Keep your workspace organized with pop-out control palettes that allow you to hide colors and attributes until they are needed. A what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG) display shows you exactly how your card will look when printed. Asure ID Solo 7 software even "remembers" where you left; at startup, Asure ID will load the last template you used.Data at your fingertips (internal database)
Asure ID 7 Solo includes a built-in Microsoft Access database that allows you to store your templates and cardholder data. You can easily populate card data fields directly from the internal database. Plus, a Quick Filter option allows you to quickly access any field within the database. We use this for construction staff on a jobsite. It has a 200 record limit, but that is plenty for this job. If you don't need a huge database this software fits the bill. Easy to import images and set up text fields. I've used more complicated badge software for our larger corporate database, but may consider ditching it and getting the full Asure ID suite for its ease of use.

This software is cumbersome compared to the ease of prior version; documentation is poor. Used prior version for years; not satisfied with this upgrade. I should have selected a different brand.

We print student IDs for a large high school. This was a great choice for our needs. Asure has the look and feel of a Microsoft Office product, including the easy-to-navigate ribbon at the top of the window. We are pleased with its ability to insert various formats of images (our old software only supported JPEGs). Our only complaint is that a few features are not unlocked in the Solo version. We can get by without archiving student records and multi-record printing. It saved us a few dollars.

Bought the software sight unseen on the recomendation of the sales rep - true to his word, the sofware was very intuitive and easy to use. Although purchased for photo ID's, I can see uses beyond - such as employee recognition cards, etc. We are a medium sized office (about 150)and the printer software combination is a perfect fit!treasurer[@]

This application makes creating professional ID cards easy and quick. you can set up templates to make data entry consistant and fast. The simple photo import proccess allows for instant croping and the ability to adjust the quality of the photo. Great product for the novice or small company.

We like the ID badges produced by the Badgy and for the most part the Assure ID software lets you design with freedom. We ran into some problems and this software needs additional testing and debugging of its subroutines. Novice users are able to do things that the program shouldn't allow them to do. For example: we wanted to change a data field type from alpha to numeric which at first it refused to do but with the right sequence through the menus we were able to change it. Unfortunately, we had entered a sample data record before the change and the program refused to save the template with the changed field type. We also could not exit to the data entry mode to delete the record. Finally we deleted the field altogether and then it also allowed us to erase the data connected to that field.rnThe second problem is the fact that the program does not show the file name box when you are saving a new template. You have to select one of your existing templates and then rename it. This is a dangerous process in that you could easily delete an older template that you want to retain. rnIt is also irritating that you cannot batch print multiple cards but must print them one by one in this version of the software. For the price paid you should at least be able to automate the printing or reprinting of a batch of cards. Presently you must print each card individually. This is a time consuming and repetitive task, exactly the type of thing that computers were invented to do for us!rnWe now of course know some of the pitfalls to avoid so things run smoothly most of the time. The program does crash and shut down at inopportune times and there may be other traps that we may fall into with continued use. The basic concept and functionality of the program is good but the programmer failed to test this program to the extent of all possible inputs and user foibles.rn rnConclusion: This program needs extensive testing and debugging before it will run without glitches.
